Smoky Mountain Permaculture Design Course Spring 2016

Smoky Mountain Permaculture Design Course:  Vibrant Self, Engaged Communities, Thriving Ecosystems

June 1-14, 2016

In lieu of our usual spring Permaculture Design Course, we will be heading to east Tennessee to teach a 14 day course.  We have been invited to co-lead a permaculture design course at Seven Springs Retreat Center in the Great Smoky Mountains.  It is being put on by the Kula Collective.  This course will differ from our usual permaculture design course in several ways….

This course will offer vegetarian meals, whereas our home course offers vegetarian or omnivore meals.

This course is located at a retreat center in east Tennessee, our usual courses take place at the Spiral Ridge homestead.

This course will not have our usual guest instructors, but we are excited to be co-leading with Jessie and Zachary of the Kula Collective as well as Ryan Rising of Permaculture Action Network and other guest instructors.

This course will focus more on community building, health & wellness, and social justice (massage and wellness counseling are available, yoga sessions, etc) than our usual homestead/small farm focus, however, the core permaculture design content will still be central to the course.
